Atlas offers high yields of uniformly sized and shaped fruits with long, cylindrical necks and slight bulb ends. The small ends make them easier to cut and prepare for cooking. A mid-maturing variety with light cream skin and dark orange flesh, the 5-7 lb. fruits are ready at about 110 days. Strong vines are somewhat restricted, taking up less space in the garden than full vine types.
